The republican Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Arts «Navqiron Uzbekiston» ( «Young Uzbekistan») is one of the first youth projects of the Fund, aimed at revelation and support of young artists and craftsmen, which is held every two years.
The festival was organized for the first time in September 2004. Young artists and craftsmen under 35 years from all over Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, who have art education, take part at the festival. The motto of the Festival is «Navqiron Uzbekiston is a modern view of traditional Art of Uzbekistan!»
Festival participants present their original works, which reflect a new view of young artists and craftsmen to the long-known forms of art. One can see in these works the intermingling of the historical traditions and contemporary trends, the past and the future, East and West.
