October 2006 - present – Social Initiatives Support Fund (SISF) (www.sisf.uz)
Social Initiatives Support Fund was established in October 2006. The idea of Social Initiatives Support Fund creation has been announced for the first time at the Forum and devoted to charity issues and social initiatives.
The main goal: consolidation efforts of Civil Society active members of the Republic for improvement life quality of citizens` that need social support.
Together with local partners SISF implements socially significant projects such as sending humanitarian goods, various seminars directed on raising the social awareness of population in remote areas, providing micro-credit to women farmers.
Main areas of Fund`s activity are as follows:
- Education (assistance in the establishment of equal opportunities for children and teenagers to obtain education, organization and conduction of seminars and trainings on various topics.)
- Environment (access to pure drinking water for the inhabitants of remote areas of the country; assistance in environmental education of the population and promotion of environmental awareness among people.)
- Social support (opportunities for the citizens of the country who are in need to improve their wellbeing and quality of life.)
- Social infrastructure (improvement of social infrastructure of local mahallas (communities), as well as life conditions of people living in rural areas of the country.)
- Healthcare (ensuring provision of access of the population to qualitative medical services, medical education and information, and promotion of a healthy life style.)
