Center for Political Studies (CPS) - independent, nongovernmental, nonprofit think-tank founded with the purpose to promote development of social and political science.

The most important directions of the CPS activity is to carry out applied researches on the issues of internal and foreign policy of Uzbekistan, regional security, international cooperation and economical development as well as to prepare on this basis research and info-analytical materials.

By the efforts of the CPS the new concept of the informational and analytical activity was created, cooperation with leading research institutions and think-tanks of CIS, East and South Asia and Europe were established.

Among the initiatives proposed by the CPS are: the idea of establishing SCO energy club, creating common Central Asian information field as well as developments and researches on Eurasian transit and transport corridors.

CPS also publishes quarterly info-analytical journal “Uzbekistan & Central Asia” which includes the most important events of Uzbekistan and Central Asia as well as analytical articles and reviews on relevant issues of politics, economy and security.
