Joint projects of the Fund Forum with public organizations of Italy

The Fund Forum has been collaborating actively with Italian organizations since its inception and pays significant attention to the development of cultural cooperation and strengthening of mutual understanding between the two countries.

Scaled projects

May 14-23, 2005, Cantù. The youngest conductor of the Youth Symphonic Orchestra and a laureate of Yangi avlod (New generation) Children’s Creativity Festival, Nuron Muqimiy, 8, took part in the 15th International Piano Competition in Italy, an opportunity facilitated by the Fund Forum.

June 17, 2005. Tashkent city hosted a concert of classical music virtuosos, featuring an Italian conductor Stefano Trasimeni and a German cellist Anton Niculescu, in collaboration with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan. International guests who attended Uzbekistan taught a series of master classes to the students of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

March 17-23, 2009, San Remo. Group Assalom Yangi Avlod (Hello, New Generation), a laureate of Yangi avlod Children’s Creativity Festival, won first place in the Folklore category at the International Dance Festival.

May 8-9, 2009. Tashkent region. The guests of Asrlar Sadosi Festival of Traditional Culture, organized annually by the Fund Forum and the UNESCO, included Oscar Dalan, General Manager of the Arredi Contract Design S.r.I. On May 6, he had taught a master class on interior design to the winners of the Kelajak ovozi Contest in the category “Architecture and Design”, active members of Kelajak ovozi Youth Initiative Centre and all those interested in design and architecture.

September 24-26, 2009, Monza. A Fund Forum delegation headed by Gulnara Karimova attended a UNESCO world forum on cultural industries titled "Creativity, Innovation and Excellence: From Crafts to the Design and Fashion Industries". The event was attended by around 200 people representing cultural organization worldwide.

September 27, 2009, Milan. The Fund Forum, Milan Mayor’s Office, and Italy’s Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Italian National Chamber of Fashion) organized an event titled Guli Presents “Style.Uzbekistan”, which took place as part of Milan Fashion Week. The event included a fashion show of Uzbek fashion designers, a charitable evening, and an auction. The proceeds from the auction went toward supporting the victims of the earthquake that hit Abruzzo region in Italy.

From November 13 to 15, 2009, Milan hosted a European training session on breast cancer advocacy issues in which representatives of “EUROPA DONNA-Uzbekistan” participated. The training sessions focused on aspects of diagnostics and breast cancer treatment, effective ways of communication with patients, public speech making, as well as methods of lobbying and interaction with the media. The training was first held in 2001 and is believed to be the most successful training course for the heads of EUROPA DONNA branches.

On April 22 - May 2, 2011, Tashkent hosted the Second International Opera Festival “Toshkent bahori” (Tashkent spring), which was attended by opera singer Monica Tarone, conductor Eddi de Nadai and composer, conductor and director of opera Bellini opera festival Maurizio Champi among others.

Italian photographer Claudio Marcozzi attended “Asrlar sadosi” Festival of Traditional Culture held in Bukhara city in the spring of 2011.
