The first European representatives office of the Fund Forum was opened in Paris, March of 2007. Memorandum of Understanding between the Fund Forum and UNESCO was signed at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. (Parties: G. Karimova and Director General of UNESCO Koichiro Matsuura).
Scaled joint projects
On 23-27 August, 2007 - participation of delegation from Uzbekistan at the International Fair of Lavender (Digne-les-Bains, France).
In November 2007, a large-scale event held in Paris in honor of 2750th anniversary of the city of Samarkand.
In April 2008 the Fund became the official partner of the Hyиres Fashion & Photography Festival. (Hyères, Côte d`Azur, France).
Concert «Songs and music of Khorezm» was held in May, 2008 at the Paris Theater.
In June 2008 with support of the Fund Forum the Festival les Orientales was attended by young talents from Uzbekistan - winners of the Childrens Creativity Festival «Yangi avlod».
World-renowned French fashion photographer Andre Rau was invited to Uzbekistan by the Fund Forum to create a photo album of the country, its culture, traditions, people and fashion. Having arrived to take part in the Style.uz-2008 Art Week, a photographer together with his team and the «movable» photo studio took a tour to Uzbekistan during the month. Titled “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan”, the photo album was published in Italy in 2011.
Events
The joint Uzbek-French Exhibition «Southern Post» was held in January 2007 (dedicated to the memory of Antoine de Saint Exupery) (Tashkent).
In March 2007 the first European Representative office of the Fund Forum was opened in Paris («Carrousel du Louvre»).
In March 2007 Photo exhibition «125 years of Uzbek photography» was successfully held in the Luxembourg Palace of the French Senate.(Paris)
On may 21, 2009 within the 62th Cannes Film Festival in France by the initiative of Gulnara the Fund Forum became a donor of the official annual charity evening Cinema against AIDS-2009 amfAR After Party.
On May 20, 2010, Gulnara Karimova was invited by amfAR American Foundation for AIDS Research to co-chair Cinema against AIDS benefit gala held as part of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival in France.
On May 19, 2011, Gulnara Karimova attended the annual Cinema Against AIDS benefit gala organized by the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) as part of the 64th Cannes International Film Festival.
