The project has been held since 2006. The Program of Pedagogical Grants is aimed at promoting further development of the pedagogical activity, improving the methods and ways of teaching, supporting creative search as well as monetary support and encouragement of the workers of the junior and high school, universities, scientific researchers by providing monthly payments or one time grants.
Grants are allocated in three directions such as: 1. For the teachers involved in public education (general schools); 2. For the teachers of secondary special schools and institutions of higher education (academic lyceums, colleges and universities); 3. For scientific researchers (PhD researchers, researchers and nominees for Doctor) and the representatives of the high pedagogical structures (chiefs of the departments, deans and vise-deans), working on innovative projects in the education field.
Since 2006 the Project has involved about 4000 teachers. 250 of them have become winners. Totally 174 million sums were allocated.
Nargis Kasimova, National University of Uzbekistan (Tashkent):
- Pedagogical grants program is a project which gives an opportunity for realization of teachers ideas who strive for further personal and professional improvement. My long-standing dream came true due to the Fund Forum and especially to the author of the project Gulnara Karimova. I wanted to write a textbook on Online-journalism in Uzbek language for students. There is not much literature on this subject for today and this fact makes the search of information difficult for students when they prepare for seminars and practical lessons. I wish to hope that situation will improve now.
Sanobar Matkulieva, State University of Urgench (Khorezm region):
- I have taken part in Pedagogical grants program for the first time. For a long time I had an idea of project which brought such unexpected victory to me. Working with student of economy faculty I thought many times about necessity of special computer accounting programs. But now, when Im directly faced with accounting field, I understand that not only beginners need this knowledge, but either qualified specialists. I wrote about possible ways of decision of this problem in my project Use of new IT-technologies in practical accountants training. My project was awarded among other grant applications.
Ramilya Kurmaeva, teacher of German language, school №60 (Tashkent):
- I was really surprised by getting this grant. Its great that the Fund Forum supports everybody regardless of age of participants. I guess Im the youngest participant of this Program. Im only 22 years old. My project is about ecology. Its a lesson on the subject Keep our city clean. At this lesson pupils study to treat environment carefully, not to soil the streets.
