Project aims to introduce renewable sources of energy to Uzbekistan`s system of energy provision by installing module systems that run on solar and wind energy. The systems would be set up within farming households and objects of social significance.
One of the primary causes that have led to the use of renewable energy sources has been problems with energy supplies to some remote rural areas, increase in the use of energy by farming households, the improvement of the level of energy use and use of electric pumps. Moreover, the growth of the population has led to a manifold increase in the needs for energy, which accentuates the shortage of natural energy resources.
Development of renewable and new types of energy sources is crucial to the preservation of non-renewable resources (gas, oil, coal) for future generations and improvement of ecological conditions, especially given the potential of renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan.
The new technologies for producing energy from renewable sources for small social facilities in rural areas is seen as a less cost-intensive alternative to traditional ways of supplying energy. Presently, autonomous alternative sources, which will enable farmers to engage in irrigation-related activities independently (water production, use of artesian wells to irrigate land, etc.), are becoming increasingly popular. The creation of autonomous working procedures in agriculture is believed to be uncomplicated, in a technical sense.
The establishment within several farming households of crafts workshops or a medical post using advanced technologies will help eliminate distrust and misunderstanding of the prospects of introducing new methods in households. The youth in rural areas may become one of the driving forces behind rural transformations. By gaining skills in computer-based management and introduction of new technologies, the young people will be at the forefront of transformations in the countryside.

- The benefit of the module systems that work on solar and wind energy is that they are a lot more pure ecologically and do not pollute the environment. Providing rural medical units with imported facilities is crucial because it helps ensure uninterrupted electricity for the units. This, in turn, will bring about an opportunity to provide aid in a timely fashion and make use of medical equipment and facilities at any time. This is why we are so thankful to the Fund Forum and the SISF for creating energy sources for our medical unit.
