Style.Uz Art Week 2010 included a charity auction titled "“Campaign 14”, which raised funds to be channeled into treatment of women with breast cancer. The timeless of the event is also seen in the fact that it was held days before World Breast Cancer Fight Day, marked on October 20.

Fourteen women in urgent need of medical treatment – one from each of the twelve regions of Uzbekistan, including Tashkent and the Republic of Karakalpakstan – were picked as beneficiaries of the project. In addition to the details of medical checkups, the criteria for selecting the women included widowhood, single-parent, number of children and financial income.

It is these 14 women – hence the title of the project – who became the heart of the campaign. The idea for organizing the event is an upshot of another social campaign titled “In the Name of Life”, which saw women in regions undergo free medical checkups as a preventive and breast cancer detection measure. The medical exams were overseen by “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association and the Women’s Council, organizations dedicated to fighting breast cancer.

Eight lots went under the hammer at the auction: exclusive models and decorations from the collections of prominent Uzbek designers as well as interior design items and accessories. The auction turned out to be a heated battle, with the bidders showing great commitment to the cause of helping the women with breast cancer.
