The fund headed by Gulnara Karimova- support of social initiatives held the ceremony of rewarding the winners of competition "Modern Uzbek rural woman" on June, 2nd, 2009 and also an exhibition of achievements of the women-farmers, organized together with "Mikrokreditbank" and "Halk Bank".
This year declared in Uzbekistan as a Year of development and an accomplishment of village, SISF has held a competition "Modern Uzbek rural woman" so that to sum up the activity in the field of support of farming and to stimulate participants of the socially-focused projects. The fund has been working in this direction since 2007. Within the limits of competition 70 most successful and dynamic women were noted in the event.
Rewarding passed on following nominations: "the Contribution for supporting business initiatives of rural women", "The Contribution to social support of women", "The Best woman-cattle breeder", "The Best business lady", "The Contribution to advancement of new technologies in agriculture", "the Best rural woman-instructor", "the youngest woman-farmer", "the Most succeeding farmer-mother" and others.
The exhibition passed on the same day allowed to show women achievements due to micro financial loans for the development female farming. The women who brought the contribution to development of Uzbekistan have been awarded.
