Ten schools of spiritual enlightenment received a donation in the form of teaching aids, and specialized literature from the Mehr Nuri (Light of Mercy) Public Foundation, patronized by Gulnara Karimova. The ceremony took place on August 4, in the city of Bukhara. Also 50 most gifted students were awarded cash grants.
Within the project aimed at support of spiritual education in Uzbekistan, each Madrasah was awarded over 120 rare case publications.
The ceremony took place at the historic center of Bukhara - Mir-Arab madrasah on Poi-Kalon square. It was attended by more than a hundred people, including the clergy, the Tashkent Islamic Institute, NGOs, students and teachers of different educational establishments.
All of the madrasahs and the Tashkent Islamic Institute received the grants.
The «Mehr Nuri» Fund, created by Gulnara Karimova in 2004, among many other social and charitable projects providing support to educational institutions in different regions of Uzbekistan.
