Results presented online: 400 projects in 1 year

The Fund Forum held an online conference with the public to report on the results of the outgoing year, the projects implemented, study opinions of culture and arts professionals as well as the broad public. The Youth Creativity Palace, the venue for the conference, brought together around 300 people: culture and art figures, scholars, leading educators, representatives of public and international organizations, winners and participants of Fund Forum projects as well as partners, who formed the conference panel and participated in round-table discussions.

Over 3,218 questions were sent on www.on-line.uz website, which was divided into thematic sections according to the Fund Forum`s activities.

2010 was very fruitful for the Fund Forum. In 2010, the Fund Forum was the first public organisation in Uzbekistan to gain Consultative Status with ECOSOC, UN Economic and Social Council. The UNIC and UNFPA named Kelajak Ovozi Talented Youth Contest the best youth project of the year. The Fund Forum's movie about sporting projects prepared by a Youth TV Studio was awarded at Milan festival of sports movies and programs in the category “Sports through Culture”.

The International Olympic Committee awarded the Fund with the award "Sports – inspiring power of youth" for its activity in sports, education and cultural projects for youth.

In addition, the Fund Forum established two new organizations including Abu Ali Ibn Sino (Avicenna) International Association of Traditional Medicine and “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association.

All told, in 2010 the Fund Forum has implemented 400 projects in collaboration with its partners. Through collaborative projects the Fund and partner organizations made available 563 grants worth a total of 710 million soums and provided sponsor support to the tune of 5.4 billion soums. Around 1 million people have participated in the project.

During the conference the Fund Forum represented a range of projects to be implemented in 2011, including Tashkent International Festival of New Cinema to be held in spring and traditional events that became visiting card of the Fund Forum, such as fair of applied art Bazar-Art, Asrlar Sadosi (Echo of Ages) Festival of Traditional Culture, Art Week Style.Uz, Woman of the Year National Contest, sporting events, etc.

The Fund Forum`s activity is aimed at the revival of cultural and historical values, the support of youth, culture, science and sports. It accords considerable attention to strengthening diplomatic and public structures for the establishment of social and humanitarian relations between different states and nations.
