On December 22, Gulnara Karimova, the chairperson of the Fund Forum's Board of Trustees, presented the keys to Matiz automobiles to the winners of the Prize Quiz during M&TVA 2010 Awards Ceremony in Tashkent. As many as 72,378 people tried their luck in the Prize Quiz announced by the Fund Forum and held from November 15 to December 15, 2010. The quiz was launched in an effort to stimulate interest in projects overseen by the Fund Forum. The quiz draws public attention not so much to the Foundation as to the ideas it advocates: development of national culture and art, solution of social and humanitarian issues, and development of an active civil society.
The 100-question quiz covered not only the Fund Forum’s local and international activities but also the history and culture of Uzbekistan. In order to enable as many people as possible to participate, the quiz was held in three mediums: on www.victorina.fundforum.uz website; through mobile phone calls; publication of the questions in national newspapers.
Thousands of people plunged into what turned into an intellectual battle. Over 72,000 people vied with each other while testing their knowledge of culture and art and demonstrating positive results attributable to the Fund Forum’s efforts in its major areas of activity. The active participation in the quiz is emblematic of the amount of attention that the Foundation’s projects and events draw in Uzbekistan.
The information partners for the quiz include: newspapers “Darakchi”, “Tasvir”, “Humo”, BVV, “The Youth of Uzbekistan”, “Bekajon”, “Hordiq”, “21st Century”; websites: blog.afisha.uz, goldenpages.uz, goldentrade.uz, anons.uz, krasota.uz, uff.uz, ulady.uz, haqida.uz, uztravel.uz, torg.uz, as well as mail.ru and odnoklassniki.ru; radio stations and television.
The quiz offered hundreds of valuable prizes: laptops, TVs, DVD players, USB sticks, watches and the prime prize, three Matiz automobiles. The car winners are Davron Yakubov from Tashkent (online version); Anvarjon Muminov from Ferghana region, who emerged as the winner in the mobile phone call quiz; Marufbek Mizayev from Samarkand, who gained the most points in the newspaper quiz.
