Gulnara Karimova awarded grants to the winners of Yangi Avlod Children`s Creativity Festival at the final gala concert which traditionally involves the best participants of the Festival and pop stars. The Gala was hosted on November 17 at the Istiqlol Palace. Over seven years more than 72 000 children aged 6 to 14 from all regions of Uzbekistan took part in this project, which is a kind of model for discovering talented children in Uzbekistan. More than 2500 of them became winners, received grants, certificates and Fund Forums further support in professional and creative development.
In 2010 the competition organizing committee has received 23,304 applications from across the country. 587 young talents - solo participants and creative group members - have become winners of the Festival, gaining an opportunity to perform on the citys main concert hall stage and be the owners of grants for development.
After a tense week of competition the final gala-concert was a real festive ball for kids, parents and teachers. The hardest work was left behind. There was no contest in the Istiklol Palace, but only creative fireworks of emotions. Majority of performances of the gala concert consisted of joint performances, song -and dance medley. All the action was a beautiful mosaic, composed of individual and bright fragments.
In the end the author of the project, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Fund Forum, Gulnara Karimova came on stage. Gulnara welcomed the audience and participants of the Festival with warm words and presented diplomas to the winners. Also the project author announced a new addition - since 2010 Yangi Avlod Festival will be awarding diplomas to the best mentors and teachers that help children prepare for the contest, performances, develop and hone young talents skills. Starting this new tradition, Gulnara awarded diplomas to three heads of children`s choirs from Akkurgana, Ahangaran and Tashkent.
... Anthem of Yangi Avlod-2010 is on. The final chord has been played and all the participants leave the stage to go further along the creative abilities realization road, which was opened for them by the Yangi Avlod Festival of Children`s Creativity.
