On August 25, the chairperson of Mehr Nuri Foundation’s Public Council, Professor Gulnara Karimova, cut the ribbon to inaugurate a newly reconstructed children’s hospital No 5 in Tashkent. One of the goals given to the Foundation is the reconstruction of major medical facilities across Uzbekistan. The in-patient hospital which has been given a complete facelift provides medical care for all newborns in Tashkent as well as children under 3.

“In the Name of Childhood” Charity Ball, one of the most awaited children`s events, on June 6 drew over 1,500 children and their parents. The ball is organized annually in the Japanese Garden in Tashkent by the Fund Forum, the Women`s Council and partners, and concludes the string of events dedicated to the International Child Protection Day. A brainchild of Gulnara Karimova, the project seeks to help discover and support children`s artistic skills and to raise funds for social and charitable projects to support mother and children.

The 4th Children`s International Calisthenics Tournemant “Baby” brought together 266 gymnasts from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan whose performances were viewed by over 1,500 people at “Uzbekistan” Sporting Complex in Tashkent. The Tournament is organized annually by the Fund Forum and Forum Junior Sport Complex and honors every participant with prizes and presents handed by the author of the project Gulnara Karimova.
