Another event in favor of the Uzbek fashion and culture global presentation was successfully held within the Milan Fashion Week on September 27, 2009 in Hotel Principe Di Savoia. The Fashion show Guli Presents "Style.Uzbekistan", which became a real parade of modern Uzbek fashion, based on national traditions, and followed by Gala Dinner was organized under the patronage of Milan city Mayor`s Office headed by Mrs. Letizia Moratti, Milan city Mayor and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. Gulnara was not only the project’s organizer and the author of the idea, but also designer, who introduced a new collection of her brand GULI.
Among the guests of the event were such famous figures like Mario Boselli President of the National Italian Fashion Chamber, Fawaz Gruosi founder and president de Grisogono, Ferruccio Ferragamo President of the Salvatore Ferragamo fashion house, designers Riva Lorenzo and Marta Marzotto, Eva Cavalli, Alexander Shumsky President of the Russian Fashion Week, Juan Laporta President of FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi and Fabio Cannavaro, Belen Rodriguez, Fabrizio Corona head of the "Corona`s" photo agency, Prielvigi Loro Piana, Helena Yarmak, Ermanno Scervino, Lorenzo Riva, Julio Iglesias, Rafaella FicoBeppe Modenese, Paolo Maldini and others. The show was hosted by Melba Ruffo di Calabria.
The culmination of the Gala-Dinner was a joint performance of the "Ofarin" instrumental ensemble under the leadership of Abdukhoshim Ismoilov with Julio Iglesias, who presented the guests his special music program.
There was also a small auction organized, most of the fund raised from which will be directed to help people suffered from disastrous earthquake in the Italian city of Abruzzo in April this year.
