The Guli Collection designed for Chopard is a new collection of brand Guli. The collection is to be presented for the first time at the World Watch and Jewelry Show annually held in Basel, Switzerland. This fair of luxury class items is visited by great number of experts in the area of wholesale and retail trade. In general, the Basel World attracts attention of citizens from 45 countries of the world.
The world`s biggest and most important event for the watch and jewellery industry is being held from March 26 to April 2, 2009 in Basel, Switzerland. More than 2000 companies are presenting their latest products and innovations from the watch, jewellery, precious stone and related sectors at BASELWORLD. Visitors will be able to see the exquisite range on the single and multi-stands, located on an area of over 160 000 m squared. Many well-known watchmakers and jewelers use the BASELWORLD as exclusive places to show their products, because the exposition is visited by almost 95,000 professionals in the field of wholesale and retail trade.
The idea to create such a collection was announced during the Style.Uz Fashion and Design Week, which took place in Uzbekistan in October of 2008. During the “Evening by Chopard” Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, co-president of Chopard, and Gulnara Karimova, the author and designer of Guli brand, announced the idea of the joint collection production. All sale funds coming from the collection will be directed for charity activities in Uzbekistan and mainly focused for children development projects.
