A show-exhibition “Masterpieces of National Arts: Past and Present” is presented in the Youth Creativity Palace in Tashkent from March 20 till May 5, 2009. The author and organizes of the event is Gulnara Karimova and the Fund Forum, patronized by her.
The exhibition presents three thematic blocks: unknown for many pieces of traditional culture, which goes back to ancient times, old handicrafts in modern master`s interpretation as well as traditional coloring as a creative inspiration of avant-guard.
Every day 100-500 connoisseurs of national art visit the show-exhibition “Masterpieces of National Arts: Past and Present”. Among them are schoolchildren, students, cultural workers, guests of the capital and all those who are interested in rare exhibits and contemporary works from private collections and museums.
The exposition has been recognized by the art-critics as a unique event in the cultural life of the capital.
