On March 24-26, Tashkent`s Youth Creativity Palace hosted “Health and Beauty” International Exhibition of Traditional Medicine and Beauty Care, which brought together traditional healers along with local and foreign producers of natural products. The exhibition was inaugurated by Gulnara Karimova, the initiator of the event, who also presented her natural cosmetics line titled “Collection of well-being for soul & body from GULI”. The opening ceremony also included a presentation of the encyclopedia “Medicinal herbs of Central Asia and their use”, the first of its kind in Uzbekistan, published under the aegis of Abu Ali Ibn Sina (Avicenna) International Association of Traditional Medicine.
Organized by the Fund Forum, Avicenna International Association of Traditional Medicine and the Women`s Council, the exhibition was attended by representatives of producers and suppliers of natural drugs and cosmetics, spa salons, medical centers, tabibs (healers) and physicians who practice naturopathic treatment as well as massage, phytotherapy, acupuncture and mud therapy practitioners. Among the foreign participants were representatives of Shrey Nutraceuticals & Herbals Pvt. Ltd. (India), Sapphire Tashkent International (India), Danhson (Vietnam), Herbion (Pakistan), Ahava (Israel) and Red Line (Russia).
The exhibition sought to draw general attention to traditional medicine and cosmetology which offer a broad spectrum of therapeutic and preventive procedures, reflexology therapy as well as enabling local companies to set up contacts. The sections that were presented included: therapeutic and preventive procedures, medicinal herbs; phytotherapy, honey treatment, herbal treatment; naturopathy, healthy food; rehabilitation and educational centers; yoga, reflexology therapy, sujok therapy, acupuncture, physiognomics, therapeutic massage; natural healing cosmetics (including face and body care products based on traditional recipes); Ayurvedic and Tibetan healing practices; specialist literature, and others.
