Contemporary Choreography and Sport Plastic Art International Contest is a new successful project by Gulnara Karimova, which presented a splendid opportunity for young professional and amateur talents aged from 5 to 20. Besides diplomas and prizes the Fund Forum awarded best teams special grants on development.
The initiative of the Fund Forum was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Children's Sports Development Foundation, the High School of National Dance and Choreography.
This is the first project in Uzbekistan presenting diverse dance styles from national folk to sports and ballroom dancing. The broad scope of participants, a variety of genres, formats and age groups, professional jury shows the international level of the contest.
Within two days of qualifying rounds about 50 dance bands from various regions of Uzbekistan, as well as guests from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan submitted their performances. Totally more than 500 participants went on stage with a diverse program including traditional Uzbek dance and modern performances in conjunction with the national music.
Final gala-concert demonstrated the versatility of talented young people, actively involved in their favorite hobbies and healthy lifestyle.
