Once again Bolajonlar-Shirintoylar (Candy Kids) Children`s Fashion Festival presented young hipsters on a catwalk as well as clothing created by fashion designers. Gulnara Karimova, who initiated this project along with other design and fashion projects (Art Week Style.uz and National Dress Festival), extended her congratulations to all the participants for whom this Festival spells the beginning of each fashion-season.
The Festival is organized annually by the Fund Forum in collaboration with Osiyo ramzi (Symbol of the East) Association of Fashion Designers. The Festival consists of children`s clothes model shows, thematic exhibitions, graphic arts contests, uniform contests, best designer contest, best catwalk show, and performances by children. The participants are both professional fashion designers and beginning specialists. A great deal of support is provided to student-designers.
This year the Festival presented 48 fashion designers, 41 collections (for children, teenagers, and expecting mothers), 180 model kids aged 3 to 16 (primarily from 4 fashion schools: Kolibri, Paradise, Baby Style art bureaus and Eski shahar (Old city) Centre of Children`s Creativity), young athletes of the Forum Junior Sport Complex. The scientific conference held as part of the Festival was attended by over 100 participants – scholars, professors, young researchers, post-graduate students and master`s degree students.
