Applications for Bolajonlar-Shirintoylar (Candy Kids) Children`s Fashion Festival closed on March 10. The Festival is held annually by the Fund Forum and Osiyo ramzi Association of Fashion Designers, the chairperson of whose Executive Council is Gulnara Karimova. The gala show of the Festival will take place on April 25 at the Center of National Arts in Tashkent.
The Festival, which is organized in an effort to develop the industry of children`s fashion and support young fashion designers and fashion schools, helps to discover new names among fashion designers and young models, expand liaison between clothing designers and manufacturers, and develop children`s fashion.
The Festival will proceed in three stages. The first stage selects sketches of clothes collections in following categories: «School style» - school uniform and sport outfit; «Tumorcha»(amulet) – national style; «Children`s Holiday» - carnival clothes; «Experiment» - avant-guard designs; «Daily Wear» - clothes for daily wear; «Women`s Happiness» - clothes for expecting mothers.
The second stage includes the making of clothes based on designs by the participants whose applications made it to the first stage. A ready collection must be presented with all the necessary additions and accessories. This part of the competition is tentatively scheduled for March 30, 2011.
The third – final – stage will be held on April 25 at the Center of National Arts in the form of a final gala show and honor the winners with awards.
