Paying special attention to the development of children’s sport Gulnara once again became initiator and organizer of the competition for young talents, which gained official status of the BABY International Children’s Tournament under the aides of the Fund Forum this year. The Fund’s project was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Children's Sports Development Foundation and Tashkent City Khokimiyat.
Within the tournament, which took place at the Universal Palace of Sport, young sportsmen from special schools of various regions of the country as well as representatives of the Tashkent sport complexes as Forum Junior Sport presented their talents.
The tournament was held in tree directions: choreography, art gymnastics and sport dances. The competitions were held in an open manner, participants enjoyed freedom of choice, no limitations on format, costumes or music existed. Participants could perform in solo, duet, trio, quartet or in groups.
Representatives from Russia also took part in the event. And among other prominent specialists Oksana Chusovitina, repeated World and Olympic Games champion from Russia evaluated participants as a jury.
The uniqueness of the project is that it is not just children’s show, but also a splendid opportunity for young talents, who did not have opportunity to present their art on professional level. The tournament became an important step to grand sport for its participants. Winners of the competition were awarded by diplomas and prizes but the organizers promised to provide further support in their creative and professional development.
