Style.uz Week Art, which began on October 12, has been gaining its momentum. Author's project of Gulnara Karimova, launched in 2006 and surpassed all expectations, once again demonstrates its scale and significance through bright events in the field of culture, art and fashion, and high-sounding guests and participants (www.style.uz for details). Gulnara herself is involved in this project not only as an ideological inspirer, the main coordinator and organizer. She is also a designer, presenting her creative Guli brand - new jewelry and clothing line.
Also Gulnara cordially welcomes Style.uz guests, many of them are not only her friends, but also associates. Hence there are two high-profile charitable projects at once in the current Style.uz.
First one is a joint presentation in Tashkent of the collection Guli for Chopard - a creative and friendly tandem of Gulnara and Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele vice-president of Chopard. History of the collection started during the last Art Week, and the first presentation was successfully held in March BaselWorld-2009. All funds raised from sales of this collection will be directed to support of young talents, winners of Yangi Avlod (New Generation) Festival. For 5 years of its existence the Festival covered more than 30 thousands talented children from all over Uzbekistan. Children aged from 6 to 14 regardless of their social status and professional background may participate in the Festival. Further the winners receive support in their skills development: grants, opportunity to continue their professional education and perform on professional stages.
Second charity project within the Style.uz-2009 is the concert by Sting concluding the week. During the concert gifted children are to receive from special grants hands of the legendary singer. In addition, the participants and winners of the youth and children's competitions and festivals, held under the patronage of the Forum Foundation - "Yangi Avlod", "Bolazhonlar-shirintoylar, Kelajak Ovozi and others will receive at least half the seats on a charitable basis. Also volunteers who are regularly involved in the Funds projects, as well as the honored workers of culture and arts of Uzbekistan will be invited to the concert.
