The annual educational and sport grants as well as scholarships award for successful and promising students is one of the most important events in the schedule of the Fund Forum and Mehr Nuri Foundation. Gulnara Karimova does her best to attract more public attention and potential patrons to the projects in this area. For example, during recent Style.uz Art Week -Central Asia's largest cultural event, she organized Sting’s charity concert. Collected funds from the concert will be directed to the implementation of such youth programs for allocating grants and scholarships. These projects offer young people new opportunities for growth and become a strong incentive.
Students received Certificates for cherished grants and scholarships from Gulnara’s hands on October 19, in Tashkent Youth Creativity Palace. This was again a real gathering of gifted young people from different cities of the country. The ceremony was live broadcasted in all regions of the country. Activists of the Youth Initiative Centers from 12 regions and Karakalpakstan Republic could not only see their mates from Tashkent Youth Creativity Palace but also communicate with each other through the videoconference. We should mention that the author's projects of Gulnara aimed at youngsters support have been held throughout the country for five years. In 2009, about 3000 applications were received for participation in these programs. Totally 306 million soums were allocated as grants.
