Creating Universal Cultural Centers Network throughout the country and building Children`s Entertainment And Cognitive Ecological Park in Tashkent – these are some of the projects and proposals Gulnara Karimova gave utterance to during the Integration of Social Projects and Initiatives Forum. In the course of the Forum many other projects nominated by the most different participants of the event were marked and maintained.
The Forum at the Tashkent Youth Creativity Palace was attended by over 800 people - representatives of the NGO sector, media, official and educational institutions, medical centers, figures of culture, art, science, sports, youth.
The open dialogue on the effectiveness of the Fund Forum’s projects that covered over 3 million people in various cultural, scientific, social and charitable events for the last 6 years, was held on such topics as: childhood, youth and education, charity, medicine and social sphere, sport, international activities, culture, art and science.
Each topic was accompanied by a small presentation on Fund Forum’s implemented and planned projects and its key partners. All participants had the opportunity to express their views, comments and suggestions for further development and cooperation.
Among the new presented projects are NGOs Support Grants Program, Charity Forum Marathon in order to buy medicine for women with oncological diseases, International Forum on oncological diseases, tender for architects and sculptors to create Children`s Entertainment and Cognitive Ecological Park in Tashkent and many others.
Of particular interest were projects on oncological diseases. Such projects have been implemented for over a year by Gulnara Karimova`s “Women’s Council” NGO, "In the Name of Life" Women’s Community, EUROPADONNA-Uzbekistan Breast Cancer Association. Large-scale international forum and a charity forum marathon to raise funds for the medicines provision for women with cancer is scheduled for spring in Tashkent, said Gulnara Karimova, the author and organizer of many cultural, social and charitable projects in Uzbekistan.
International forum on breast cancer and other oncological diseases will be held with participation of leading experts, scientists and practitioners, representatives of recognized international organizations, medical and research centers, universities and other specialized institutions of Uzbekistan and foreign countries. Program of breast cancer prevention, early diagnosis and treatment as well as rehabilitation of women diagnosed with breast cancer has been designed within preparation for the International Forum. The program is a significant result of the special working round table held on 23 February in Tashkent with experts and stakeholders.
Universal Cultural Centers Network project presentation has caused a considerable attention among the Forum participants. Centers are to be built in each region and each regional center in a single architectural solution. Centers will serve as a venue for interesting and useful leisure activities, meetings and other activities for a variety of residents of small and large cities and districts of Uzbekistan.
